Using proper lubricants is very important to the operation of the cutter. If you have any questions, please call us before using any oil or grease.

• Oil quantities are for reference only. We suggest you have the oil changed every 2 to 3 years with moderate use, by a qualified service technician. The oil has to be pumped out on all but the two smallest cutters, since there is no drain hole, and the filter and sump must be cleaned.
• Do not "Top Up" the oil in the gearbox or the hydraulic system. These systems can lose over half of their oil and still function normally. If your machine is leaking so badly that you have quarts of oil on the floor, then we need to fix the leak before adding or changing the oil. Adding too much oil can cause more damage than running low.
• Grease fittings only require one or two pumps from a grease gun each month. The grease fittings on the clamp guides should be skipped in favor of a light oil, to avoid build-up.
• Cleaning off excess grease is usually more important than adding more grease.
• "Way" oil on the ways and gibs of the backgauge is recommended since it is stickier than other oils and will not run off as fast. Some dripping into the spindle drip-pan is normal. If the drip-pan is dry, you probably need to oil the backgauge more often. If it is over-flowing, you need to oil it less.
