HYDRAULIC PUMPS
![]() |
The Hydraulic Pump used on Polar cutters 32" and up, for
models
EL & CE.
It is a dual-chamber vane pump designed to supply 2200 PSI at 4.3 GPM to the clamp piston and 2 GPM to the clutch at 3500 RPM. It normally runs at approximately 1500 RPM. The bushing on the input shaft is pressure-lubricated by the front chamber. Unfortunately, this style is now obsolete and has been
replaced by a
very expensive pump and adaptor kit. But we have had considerable
success in repairing the original pumps.
The installation
and priming of the pump is very critical, and comes with full
instructions, but is not recommended for
untrained personnel. However, we do guarantee the pump for 90 days if
installed properly. Exchange price is $2000
plus a core charge of $600.
The core charge will
be refunded on return of your old pump. Installation, oil, drive belt,
sales tax, etc. are extra. |

NEW
Replacement Hydraulic Pump, all Polar cutters 45" and up, models EL
& CE. This is a new, imported hydraulic gear-pump, identical to the former Heidelberg replacement. Specifications are the same as the original vane-pump, but it is easier to install and more dependable. Installation is simplified with an adapter kit of flexible high-pressure hoses to attach to the original hydraulic lines. This pump can easily be installed by your own technicians and comes with full instructions. No special priming procedures required. Since the new pump is slightly larger than the original, we have not yet devised an adaptor kit for the smaller cutters. We are working on it, but meanwhile we would suggest using the rebuilt pump, above. Exchange price is $2400 plus a core charge of $600. The core charge will be refunded on return of your old pump. Includes new oil filter and flexible hoses. Installation, oil, drive belt, sales tax, etc. are extra.
